ALMOND PUFF PASTRY

Hey guys- this is a good one! This recipe literally takes 5 minutes to make, and it looks and tastes like you baked for hours!

Ingredients

2 puff pastry sheets

8 oz almond paste

¼ c confectioners’ sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

¼ c sliced almonds

1 egg

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (or flour of choice)

egg wash

 

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400F degrees

Mix your almond paste, sugar, egg, vanilla, and flour

Roll out one sheet of puff pastry dough 

Spread the filling evenly 

Cover the filling with a second piece of pastry dough and slice into 1” strips

Roll your strips into almond pastry buns

Brush with egg wash

Cover with sliced almonds

Bake for 15 minutes @400

Finish for 5 minutes @350

Cool for a few minutes and sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar

Serve warm and enjoy!
